Associate Creative Producer

Overview:

Associate Creative Producer will support the RMIT Student Places & Creativity team in the development and delivery of student co-created artworks, activations and projects on campus and online. Part of RMIT Student Services and Amenities (SSAF) funding commitment and delivery, these outcomes are an integral part of the RMIT student experience and will contribute towards student belonging, wellbeing and success. The Associate Creative Producer will be at a stage in their career where they will benefit from mentorship in project management, inclusive stakeholder engagement and creative ideation. The successful candidate will have some experience in the arts, events or creative industries. A high level of organisation and a human-centred approach to working within a team are essential.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work with the Senior Advisor, Student Places & Creativity and Creative Producers to support the delivery creative projects that engage and reflect the diversity of the RMIT student community.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including artists, students and internal RMIT stakeholders such as RUSU, RMIT Property Services, Student Comms, Events, and more.
  • Liaise with and brief student support staff and volunteers.
  • Support key project management tasks, such as development and distribution of promotion material, student bookings, reporting and analysis.
  • Support project delivery on campus, this includes lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying.
  • Support financial management and reporting as required, utilising existing platforms.
  • Positively reflect RMIT values and actively represent RMIT Creative and their projects for students, artists & stakeholders.
  • Other duties consistent with the level of the position as required.

Selection Criteria

  • An RMIT student based in Melbourne for 2026 and 2027
  • Demonstrated experience supporting art and creative engagement programs.
  • Evidenced administration and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to take the initiative in identifying and pursuing opportunities to improve existing practices and services.
  • Some experience using Microsoft 365.
  • Developed interpersonal skills with the ability to develop working relationships and respectfully engage RMIT’s incredibly diverse community of students
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusion, diversity and reconciliation.
