Objective:
To help deliver a standout national events program that brings the industry together, raises critical funds for young people at risk and strengthens UnLtd’s profile across the media, marketing and advertising community.
The Event Coordinator plays a key role in creating engaging, high-standard events that connect partners to UnLtd’s mission and leave a lasting impression on attendees, sponsors and supporters.
Position Overview:
The Event Coordinator supports the delivery of UnLtd’s annual calendar of fundraising, industry and community events across Australia. Working closely with the Director of Events, this role helps bring around 25 events to life each year, from early planning through to execution and post-event reporting.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys fast-paced environments, thrives on organisation, has exceptional project and stakeholder management skills and loves creating memorable experiences for people. You’ll work across event logistics, sponsor activations, communications, supplier management and event operations while collaborating with teams across marketing, partnerships and commercial.
By delivering exceptional events, this role helps strengthen industry engagement, grow fundraising outcomes and support UnLtd’s mission to create a nation free of inequity, where every child and young person can have unlimited opportunity.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Event Delivery
- Plan, coordinate and deliver approximately 25 annual events across Australia in partnership with the Director of Events.
- Help create engaging, high-quality event experiences that reflect the energy and values of UnLtd.
- Manage event logistics including venue sourcing, suppliers, contractors, run sheets, registrations and attendee communications.
- Support budget management and ensure events are delivered on time and within or under budget.
- Prepare event materials including briefing documents, runsheets, workbooks and operational plans.
- Provide on-site event management to ensure smooth delivery and a positive attendee experience.
Sponsorship & Partnerships
- Pro-actively collaborate with industry partners & suppliers to strengthen event value through fun activations and contra deals.
- Support the development and packaging of fun & unique event sponsorship opportunities.
- Manage sponsor communications and ensure all sponsorship deliverables and activations are executed to a high standard.
- Build strong relationships with partners, suppliers and industry stakeholders.
- Work proactively with partners and suppliers for value-add opportunities.
- Prepare sponsor reports and post-event wrap-ups.
Marketing & Communications
- Work closely with the CMO and Commercial team to support event marketing campaigns and ticket sales activity.
- Coordinate pre & post event information and content for digital, social and email channels.
- Collect and share event highlights, photography, video and stories to showcase the impact and energy of UnLtd events.
- After each event, label key photography with team names for annual reporting.
Reporting & Administration
- Track and report on event performance including budgets, attendance and fundraising outcomes.
- Prepare event briefings, Great & Grow reviews and reporting for internal stakeholders.
- Manage invoices, payments and other event administration tasks.
- Maintain accurate event records (such as calendars, budget and attendance) through Monday.com and other systems.
Continuous Improvement
- Gather feedback from attendees, sponsors and partners to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute ideas to improve event delivery, attendee experience and internal processes.
- Participate in FY & CY event reviews to support future event strategy and development.
Leadership and Workplace
- Act as a proactive and collaborative team member, contributing to the success of the events portfolio and the wider UnLtd mission.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, partners, sponsors and suppliers.
- Make a great first impression – for many of our partners, events are the first time they experience UnLtd.

- Annual events program delivered on time, within budget and to high quality standards.
- Sponsors and partners receive a positive, professional and engaging experience.
- Fundraising, attendance and participation targets are achieved or exceeded.
- Event reporting and wrap-ups are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Event marketing and sales activity is delivered effectively in collaboration with internal teams
