We have an opportunity for a Video Production Coordinator to join the commercial content team at Seven West Media. This role is ideal for an aspiring film and video editor eager to develop their skills through structured and real-world experience.
Working across WA's leading News, Sport and Entertainment brands, this role plays a key part in coordinating video projects from concept through to delivery. Partnering with producers, creatives, editors and clients, you will coordinate shoots, manage schedules and keep projects on track ensuring content is delivered seamlessly and on deadline.
Whether your background is in video production, content creation, media or freelance creative work, success in this role will come from a passion for visual storytelling, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to balance creativity with strong organisational skills.
About the role:
As a Video Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring video projects are delivered smoothly, on time and to the highest standard. Key responsibilities include:
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to coordinate video production projects from planning through to delivery.
- Managing project timelines and production schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
- Providing regular updates to senior stakeholders and escalating any risks or changes as required.
- Coordinating and distributing call sheets, ensuring all crew, talent, clients and stakeholders are informed and prepared.
- Monitoring production logistics to ensure clients and contributors are where they need to be and on time.
- Communicating schedule changes and production updates quickly and effectively to all parties involved.
- Maintaining accurate project information and documentation throughout the production process.
- Using established production tools, systems and workflows to manage projects efficiently.
- Working collaboratively with creative, production and commercial teams to deliver engaging content across multiple platforms.
- Supporting the team with production coordination while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and organisation.
About you:
- A qualification in Film, Media, Screen Production or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
- Experience in a video production, media, creative or content environment.
- A passion for visual storytelling and creating engaging content.
- Experience using project management, production or workflow tools is highly regarded.
- Exceptional organisational and project coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- The confidence to work with a variety of stakeholders and build positive relationships.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to think creatively and solve problems.
- Experience working in a fast-paced media environment will be highly regarded.
