About the role
We are looking for an inspiring, high-performing Head of NSW Sales to own our commercial strategy and lead our NSW market to new heights. Based in Sydney and reporting to the National Sales Director, you will champion Mamamia's purpose-driven mission by driving commercial outcomes across agency, independent agency, and direct advertiser channels. Leading a talented team of sales professionals, you will cultivate a collaborative, high-performance culture that delivers integrated, best-in-class advertising solutions. Here's some of the stuff you can expect to be doing if you join us:
- Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing NSW sales team across agency, independent, and direct portfolios to foster accountability and results.
- Executing the national commercial strategy at a state level, translating vision into actionable initiatives and achieving revenue targets.
- Identifying and converting new business opportunities to expand Mamamia's commercial footprint in NSW.
- Retaining and growing revenue across existing clients through proactive pipeline management and compelling media solutions.
- Leading major commercial pitches, high-value negotiations, and managing key escalations.
- Building and maintaining deep, long-term strategic relationships with senior agency leaders and client decision-makers.
- Guiding the development of best-in-class integrated media responses by collaborating with Strategy and Content teams to leverage our digital expertise and editorial calendar.
- Overseeing commercial operations, including pipeline reporting, forecasting, and budget management to ensure client ROI.
Now, a bit about you
- 10+ years of experience in digital media or audio sales (preferred) with at least 7+ years of leadership experience across multiple sales streams.
- A proven track record of owning the NSW market, expanding brand footprints, and securing high-value long-term commitments.
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, and mentorship skills with a passion for developing top sales talent and elevating team performance.
- Deep, established relationships across NSW media agencies and client decision-makers.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and pitch skills, with the ability to influence at a senior level.
- A strategic mindset balanced with tactical execution, capable of identifying market opportunities and driving innovation.
- Experience leading teams through organizational transformation with agility and a positive, collaborative spirit.
