Job Description
Are you chronically online following the latest trends? Do you love creating viral videos? Do you have a breadth of experience in managing productions from social first concepts to multi-day, interstate documentaries and everything in between? We are on the search for a highly creative and experienced Senior Video Producer to impeccably manage video campaigns across Pedestrian Group from end to end.
As Senior Producer you will lead branded video production in our award-winning Studio team, managing all video components of integrated campaigns from concept to delivery. Under the management of the Director of Studio Operations & Creative Projects, you will work closely on video campaigns at all touch points to ensure best-in-class production. You must be able to work autonomously and have experience working with a range of budgets and crew sizes.
Day to day you will:
- Working with our Commercial team to develop partnership video concepts that are highly competitive out in market.
- Be the custodian for all budgets and timelines for video concepts from pitch to production, ensuring concept feasibility and delivery within agreed budgets, all while maintaining production margin targets.
- Champion and guide a high standard of video production across all Pedestrian video campaigns that maintain Pedestrian’s tone of voice, whilst delivering brand impact for our partners.
- Leading our in-house videographer/editor and managing their schedule alongside our Studio Coordinator
- Strong project management skills to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Developing Video Treatments, scripts and storyboards and creating and managing call sheets and production schedules
- Collaborate closely with other cross-functional teams to help foster a creative and collaborative environment that drives innovation and high-quality output
- Strong leadership skills on set, managing various crew sizes, talent and client
Qualifications
This role calls for a creative leader with a strong network in youth talent, a knack for managing productions from start to finish, and a deep understanding of post-production. You'll need to be a strategic thinker, an excellent communicator, and possess a keen awareness of youth culture to craft compelling video content.
What you'll bring:
- A strong talent network and a passion for emerging youth talent and skills in talent management negotiation and contracting
- Experience sourcing various locations and managing permits and risk assessments
- Ability to think strategically and critically, solving complex creative challenges while keeping the big picture in mind. Able to balance creative development with practical execution.
- Understanding of post-production workflows working with software such as frame.io and Adobe when required. As well as an understanding of data wrangling and management best practices.
- Experience in briefing and providing feedback to freelancers, while building positive working relationships within the Studio team and across the wider business.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and key stakeholders.
- A deep understanding of youth culture and trends, with a keen awareness of how to craft video content that resonates with younger audiences. Familiarity with the media landscape and the unique challenges it presents.
