Senior Associate / Associate, Marketing (Institutional Banking Group)

Business Function

Group Marketing & Communications (GM&C) is responsible for building, protecting, and enhancing the DBS brand in an increasingly commoditised banking industry. Working closely with all units within the DBS Group, we create and execute integrated strategies that focus on communications especially digital communications, marketing and research to differentiate – and elevate – our brand from the rest of the competition.

Responsibilities

Reporting to VP, IBG Marketing. This role will focus on marketing initiatives related to sustainability, Asia connectivity (including Greater Bay Area), and specific segments and industry sectors.

  • Events management – drive end-to-end external client events (both ‘insight-led’ and hospitality), from concept creation, overall planning, budgeting, stakeholder management, onsite execution to results tracking.
  • Asia connectivity – work closely with business partners (including China onshore and offshore teams and external associations) on brand building, lead acquisition and customer engagement events.
  • Sustainability – engage with relationship managers and dial up the bank's sustainability image via internal and external activities.
  • Utilise digital marketing and social media to amplify event contents, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, WeChat, YouTube etc.
  • Partner with brand and PR teams to shape external perception through interviews, press statements and sponsorships, and to ensure marketing activities are executed in line with regional brand standards.
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships and initiatives with external parties to support business objectives.
  • Oversee event production and premium fulfillment, ensuring meticulous execution and timely, high-quality delivery to elevate customer experience.
  • Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and customer trends to ensure effectiveness of branding and marketing strategy.
  • Able to make use of data to make informed decisions in optimising marketing effectiveness across channels (including own media, paid media, online & offline) to maximise marketing ROI.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and marketing agencies to enhance the branding of DBS Institutional Banking Group.

Experience:

Degree holder in Marketing / Business Administration or other related discipline. At least 3 years of experience in B2B marketing or event planning, preferably in financial services or related industries. A successful track record of developing and delivering successful marketing strategies and customer-centric events. Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work towards challenging deadlines while paying attention to details. Proven analytical capabilities and a “data-driven” mindset. Ability to work towards challenging deadlines. Specific experience in content marketing, digital marketing and social media (especially WeChat) is an advantage. Experience in planning and managing budgets. Strategic and creative mindset with can-do attitude. Confident with good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Mandarin fluency is an advantage. Positive personality with the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with various internal and external stakeholders. Problem-solving and project management capabilities; manage concurrent tasks independently with high accuracy and efficiency.
