Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Traffic Executive to join our TV Team on a 4-month parental leave cover contract.
As a Traffic Executive within the TV Primary Traffic Team, you will ensure all commercial inventory is scheduled correctly and prepared for telecast as per requirements agreed between the National Sales Team, Clients & Agencies, and in line with industry legal requirements (such as the Free TV Commercial Television Industry Code of Practice) and any other National Traffic policies.
Day to day you will:
- Accurately produce the daily channel 9 commercial transmission schedule as per production deadlines
- Ensure all schedules and material application adheres to the requirements of the Television Industry Code of Practice
- Ensure all sponsorship spots are scheduled as instructed by the Sponsorship team and any exclusivity clashes are reported
- Schedule premium sport programs as instructed by the Sports sponsorship team & service the Network Sales Team’s commercial requirements
- Assist Network Sales with late bookings and produce amendments due to these late changes
- Complete the previous days reconciliation (Debrief) resolving any discrepancies between the scheduled log and the run log

You will be a solid team player, who shows commitment to the team's purpose and effectively contributes and shares skills/knowledge with others. You’ll have an ability to absorb information and act accordingly.
What we would like to see on your resume:
- Working knowledge of the Commercial Television Industry Code of Practice
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Adherence to schedules and deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
- Competent in the use of both Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications
- Diploma or Degree related to Media (desirable)
