Job Description
As a casual Live Operations Assistant, you will be crucial in ensuring a seamless, high-quality viewing experience for millions by managing real-time operations, quality control, and digital ad insertion across 9Now's Pop Up Channels for the major Summer Tennis tournaments. This includes the United Cup, Brisbane International, Adelaide International, and the Australian Open, in January 2026.
This casual, shift-work contract offers a unique opportunity to work on Australia's most-loved sports content, maintaining the integrity of these live-streamed matches.
Day to day you will:
- Oversee the output and quality control (vision/audio) of up to four live streams concurrently.
- Cross-check live stream bookings against the official sports schedule for accuracy.
- Accurately trigger digital break cues at the correct 'in-play' opportunities.
- Manage the triggering of streaming slates at the start and conclusion of events.
- Execute swift switching between input streams during incident recovery procedures.
- Work a flexible shift pattern across daytime to late evening, 7 days a week, in January 2026.
- Handle a fast-paced, high-pressure workload while maintaining exceptional focus.
Qualifications
What you'll bring:
- Demonstrable excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills.
- Prior experience in Live Broadcast or Live Streaming operations is beneficial.
- A passion for Tennis or a genuine interest in sports programming.
- The ability to remain calm and effective when working under pressure.
- A proactive, self-starter attitude, coupled with being a positive team member.
- Capacity to multitask effectively while managing critical operational tasks.
- Full availability to work shifts across January 2026.
