About the role

The Shopping Editor is a lead content strategy role responsible for driving the shopping content strategy across all digital brands and verticals at Are Media.

Reporting into the Head of Shopping and working closely with the Head of Affiliate you will be executing the digital content shopping strategies across all brands, driving and identifying opportunities to diversify revenue and collaborating with stakeholders and internal partners to develop projects that improve efficiencies and grow audiences, and help the business grow affiliate revenue and achieve yearly budget.

You will be pivotal in executing the shopping content plan across the vertical structure to deliver content commerce revenue budgets including key metrics on conversion and click through rates.

This is a senior content lead who will provide digital thought leadership and drive a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing and best practice. 

Duties

  • Help develop, deliver and report on brand-specific monthly shopping content plans, in collaboration with Head of SEO and Head of Affiliate, and deliver to Digital Editors.
  • Share editorial, audience & affiliate knowledge with the business as needed & lead by example as the head of the Shopping Content Team
  • Edit work by Shopping Content team members across the sites, as required, to ensure quality and brand values are upheld, providing feedback and support where needed
  • Liaising with stakeholders to ensure seamless workflow and implementation of the monthly shopping plans and seasonal/calendar-based initiatives between Head of Affiliate, SEO CoE, DSI, as well as the Shopping Content and Digital Editorial Content teams
  • Manage the workflow around updating and republishing of top performing Shopping content, ensuring it adheres to best-practice for SEO and affiliate conversion
  • Help to identify and implement (as needed) emerging or currently untapped content solutions for Digital Shopping Content, to help grow Are Media’s affiliate capabilities
  • Cultivate a strong data-based understanding of Are’s digital brands’ audiences, and the revenue capabilities and opportunities across all verticals –  sharing insights in a monthly report to relevant stakeholders

Skills and experience

  • Minimum 4 years’ creating content in a digital environment  
  • Experience with content management systems, affiliate network platforms and analytic tools
  • Preferred experience with Word Press, Conductor, Power BI
  • Strong understanding and experience in optimising digital content for affiliate and shopping revenue
  • Strong content ideation, strategy and output skills
  • Strong understanding of SEO content
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with previous management experience
  • Financial and commercial acumen; knowledge of affiliate revenue drivers for websites, social platforms and digital sales processes
  • Stakeholder management
