Job Description
Our Group Audience Insights team powers audience growth through insight-led decision making. We partner with teams across Marketing, Content, and Product to deliver a deep understanding of what drives our audiences. Our multidisciplinary team includes qualitative and quantitative researchers, data visualisation and research operations specialists. Group Audience Insights also manages the infrastructure that supports insights at scale - think audience panels, data collection and analysis tools, and knowledge-sharing platforms.
As a Senior Research Executive, you’ll lead the delivery of quantitative research projects, both in-house and with external agencies, and play a key role in uncovering actionable insights that drive audience understanding and business decisions.
Day to day you will:

Conduct end-to-end custom and continuous quantitative research using Nine’s audience panels, site/app intercept surveys, customer lists, and external panels.

Handle all aspects of the process, including brief taking, sample and questionnaire design, project management, quota and weighting design, data analysis, and reporting.

Use first- and third-party data sets, including behavioral, customer, media measurement, and social media data, to enhance project outcomes.

Proactively review and improve research projects.

Brief and manage relationships with external research partners.

Become an expert in key research platforms, such as Ideally.

Assist with administrative tasks like calendar management and briefing forms.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring:
-
3-5 years’ experience in consumer research within an agency or client setting.

A tertiary qualification in psychology, marketing, economics, data science, or related fields.

Experience designing and conducting quantitative research, including custom and tracking studies.

A solid understanding of research principles: sample design, weighting, significance testing

Skills in data tabulation/statistical software like Q or SPSS.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and/or Google Suite, with the ability to produce research charts.

Strong numeracy, analytical thinking, and attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy.
Desirable:

Self-motivated, go-getter, critical thinker, curious, organised.

The ability to create clear, visually appealing reports that tell a story.

Skilled at integrating primary research with 1st and 3rd party data to deliver insights.

Experience with dashboard tools like Displayr, Qualtrics, Tableau, or Data Studio.

Understanding of/ interest in the media landscape. Industry experience is valued, though not a must
