Job Description

Operations: provide support for Nine’s network, connectivity, firewalls, compute, storage, virtualization and backup systems through effective monitoring of health and utilization, and by responding to incidents and requests. Adhere to Nine’s operational processes (eg change management). There may be a requirement to participate in an on-call roster.

Project delivery: work on a variety of projects with a key focus on Melbourne related projects. Ensure they are delivered on time, on budget, and ensure they meet business requirements.

Security: ensure that Nine’s security policies are enforced on both existing network and infrastructure solutions and any new initiatives you work on.

Qualifications

Essential qualifications, experience & skills

• Extensive Experience: 10+ years in network engineering and/or infrastructure engineering roles, with a proven ability to provide solid operational support and deliver quality solutions

• Broad Technical Expertise (Network): Technical expertise and/or understanding across a broad range of network technologies including Multicast, BGP, OSPF, VxLAN, Cloud/Internet Networking

• Broad Technical Expertise (Infrastructure): Technical expertise and/or understanding across a broad range of infrastructure technologies including Active Directory, AzureAD, Windows/Linux, VMWare, Storage, SSO, Server Hardening

• Scripting / Automation: Hands-on experience with scripting and automation. Powershell and Ansible preferred.

Desirable qualifications, experience & skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Broadcast Technologies: Experience with broadcast networking (eg SMPTE 2110, PTP & OBs)

• Media/Technology Industry Experience: Previous experience within the media or technology industry is desirable.

• Hand-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet network solutions
