About the Team & Office

We’re a tight-knit, collaborative People & Culture team that thrives on making a real impact across the business. Our Sydney office, located in World Square (5 minute walk from Town Hall Station), is currently trialling a 9-day fortnight – with every second Friday off to rest and recharge!
A Day in the Life
As our Senior HR Advisor, you’ll be a trusted partner to leaders and employees across the business, providing expert support and guidance on everything from performance and recruitment to training, compliance, and employee relations. You’ll contribute to national people projects, champion best practice HR initiatives, and help bring SCA’s People Strategy to life.
You’ll also:
- Provide HR support and advice to managers and employees across the business.
- Create strong relationships with key stakeholders, working collaboratively with the wider HR team to provide solutions.
- Contribute to the development and roll-out of key people initiatives alongside the wider HR team.
- Support a broad range of HR activities including employment relations, performance management, restructuring, WHS, training, and investigations.
- Provide insights to stakeholders on key drivers of employee engagement including pulse surveys and exit data.
- Maintain employee records and support the management of contracts and HR reporting.
What You’ll Need
- Tertiary qualifications in HR and approx. 3 years' experience in an operational HR role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across all levels.
- High attention to detail, project management skills, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
- A passion for supporting people and culture in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Sound understanding of employment legislation and best practice HR principles.
