Job Description
The Role:
As the Senior Engineering Manager (Accounts & Engagement), you will lead the "Acquisition to Order" journey within our Consumer Platform transformation. You will oversee multiple engineering teams to build Nine’s unified identity, account management, and audience activation platforms. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on consolidating legacy systems into a seamless, modern ecosystem that drives personalized engagement across all Nine digital products.
What You'll Be Doing:
Strategic & Technical Leadership

Platform Vision: Partner with Product to define and execute the technical strategy for Nine Identity (SSO/Auth), Unified Accounts, and Martech platforms.

Modernization: Drive the migration from legacy vendors (e.g., Gigya) to a cohesive, scalable internal platform.

Growth Innovation: Champion a self-service experimentation platform to empower Growth Marketing and audience activation.
Delivery & Team Enablement

People Leadership: Coach and mentor Engineering Managers across onshore and offshore teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Roadmap Ownership: Ensure the delivery of resilient, 24/7 services that meet transformation goals and FY26 growth initiatives (e.g., Stan integration, ACMA compliance).

Operational Excellence: Balance resource allocation between long-term platform builds and immediate business-critical needs.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management

Collaboration: Align technical roadmaps with Product, Data, and Marketing leadership to meet broader business objectives.

Vendor Relations: Manage strategic partnerships with Identity and Martech vendors, ensuring performance and accountability.
Qualifications
What You'll Bring:

Engineering Leadership: 5+ years in technology leadership, with a proven track record of managing multiple teams through other Engineering Managers.

Platform Transformation: Extensive experience delivering large-scale, consumer-facing digital platforms, specifically during major consolidations or transformations.

Identity & Martech Domain Expertise (CIAM): Deep knowledge of Identity and Access Management (e.g., Auth0, Okta, or SAP CDC/Gigya).

Marketing Tech: Experience with activation platforms like Braze, MoEngage, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Commercial Capabilities: Background in entitlements, paywalls, or self-service experimentation platforms is highly desirable.

Technical Operations: Proven ability to lead in a DevOps culture, managing 24/7 services on cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) using IaC.

Strategic Influence: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to mentor leaders, manage senior stakeholders, and drive outcomes in complex environments.
