Senior Digital Manager

We're seeking a Senior Digital Manager who has comprehensive agency experience, delivering best in class digital campaigns.
With management from the Business Director, this role offers the opportunity for independence and ownership. Thus, we want someone with an innate proactiveness, an authority over their ambition, and desire to elevate the total client output through collaboration and nurturing of junior staff.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive integrated digital strategies that align with client objectives, following through to leading implementation and measurement. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience delivering brand and performance tactics across Paid Social, Programmatic and Direct IO.

The suitable candidate would have the following:

  • Problem solving mentality and initiative
  • 5+ years’ experience in a digital role within an agency environment
  • Strong hands-on knowledge and expertise across the following advertising and analytics platforms:
      • Social Ads Manager: Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Reddit, Snapchat
      • Google Analytics
      • Looker Studio
      • Amazon Ads
      • Understanding of Creator Influencer platforms and tools (e.g. Hyeptap, Tribe, Vamp etc)
  • Attention to detail with high level of accuracy
  • Managerial qualities that foster team development and uphold a high standard for all task outputs.
  • Willingness to ideate with media partners and Hatched peers to bring strategy to life in interesting ways.
  • Ability to lead projects end to end autonomously when required, and equally adaptable to collaborate and be a team player.
  • Ability to manage a broad scope of tasks and deliver on deadlines
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Craft (Digital Skill Set) 

  • Manage the development and execution of digital strategies, ensuring this is delivered to high standards and aligned with client goals.
  • Oversight of all digital planning and activation across campaigns, ensuring it is in line with overall client media strategy and objectives. Fine-tuning budget allocation, weights, phasing, and channel mix.
  • Manage the ongoing testing and optimisation of creative, audience targeting, and strategies, that deliver growth for our clients.
  • Identify impactful insights around performance levels and use those insights to guide future growth opportunities to clients.
  • Keep up to date with best practices, strategies and techniques across all digital channels.
  • Confident in media knowledge across all channels at the strategy/planning level.
  • Maintain strong relationships with platform partners (e.g., Stackadapt, Nexxen, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn), whilst demonstrating to your team the importance of these relationships.
  • Play a key role in the build and maintenance of performance dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights for both internal teams and clients (e.g. via Funnel)
  • Drive innovation in testing, automation, and advanced measurement solutions.

Client (Management & Service)

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of client’s business, category context and deliverables.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with your clients at the digital manager level.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of media planning, negotiation, and implementation, ensuring agreed deadlines are met, and we are aligning with SLA’s.
  • Management of the digital end output across all client presentations including PCR’s, QBR’s, media responses etc.
  • Bring proactive recommendations to clients and demonstrate forward-thinking ideas to elevate the Hatched digital output beyond expectations.

People (Management & Development)

  • Confident in directing team members on other specialist teams with clarity, providing regular and
  • Ability to manage the day-to-day workflow of your team and troubleshoot as required.
  • Delegate and provide appropriate guidance to enable team members to perform their roles effectively. 
  • Establish processes and values to ensure alignment across the team. 

Commercial

  • Drive competitive deals and value with vendors through considered negotiation tactics.
  • Understand contractual obligations and any KPI’s that are linked directly linked to client and Hatched commercial outcomes.
  • Oversight of all team financials, included but not limited to, budget control, fees management, supporting the team in account queries.
  • Forecast ­­management including regular updates to the Business Director on variances

Location & Ways of Working

This role is Sydney-based. You’ll be based at our office in Town Hall, with at least 3 days in the office.
