Senior Account Manager
Hatched is on the lookout for a Senior Account Manager to join us in Sydney!
The ideal candidate is great with people, not afraid to wear multiple hats and help Hatched Sydney grow. Someone who is enthusiastic, confident with clients and publishers alike and will bring their authentic selves to work with our 14 person team.
Importantly, we are looking for someone who cares about the craft of communications planning – with an emphasis on doing award winning work for our clients.
The Snr Account Manager is an integral part of our team and will be the right-hand person to our Business Director. You must be motivated by solving clients’ challenges and will thrive in a fast-paced setting, whilst also upholding our excellence in service in a professional manner. A solid understanding of both digital and traditional media to confidently and consistently deliver on campaigns that perform for our clients.

What are the key responsibilities of the role?
- Connections thinking and storytelling, with the ability to bring things together on an all-encompassing OSEP plan
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients. Focus on building trust with Marketing Managers and Directors.
- Lead the process of answering client briefs by pulling together and leading cross-discipline skills. Motivate and challenge teams to deliver their best work.
- Identify and pitch new ideas to your clients, becoming a true client partner
- Assisting our clients to navigate their ever-changing challenges
- Use agency systems and processes to ensure work is produced to the highest standards within agreed timeframes to agreed budgets
- Work with the specialist teams across performance, offline, strategy and retail to effectively deliver best practice,
- Collaborate with agency and media partners to deliver the best possible solutions
- Ability to bring things together on a media plan, with a close eye on detail
- Willingness to work on new business pitches
- Provide regular recognition and constructive feedback to team members
- Understand contractual obligations and any KPI’s that are linked to that are directly linked to client and Hatched commercial outcomes.
- Support the BD in the management of all team financials, included but not limited to, budget control, fees management, supporting the team in account queries.
What experience do you need to have?
Years of experience don’t really matter, what matters is competence and initiative, the below is a guide:
- Experience working across Offline and Online Media.
- Experience having managed people, clients, tools and systems to get a high quality output every time
- Openness to using new, contemporary tools ie Canva, Springboards
- Familiarity with Microsoft systems necessary – particularly excel
- Exposure with buying tools would be advantageous (AQX, eTam , Roy Morgan , Nielsen Answers , MOVE , Eram , Spectra , TV Map , Google Campaign Manager)
- Close attention to detail with excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Responding to and presenting new business pitches.

- Able to work independently and autonomously on projects, with a keen eye for innovation
- To be a team player, with a can-do attitude and the ability to collaborate with the entire team
- Strong interpersonal skills, specifically listening, consulting, and influencing
- Excellent storytelling, presentation and communication skills
- Ability to manage up and keen to learn
