Job Description
Are you a highly motivated News Producer ready to shape Queensland's leading news coverage? We are seeking an experienced professional to join our dynamic team.
In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in delivering our compelling broadcasts. You'll gain broad experience across various production roles, from story producing and lineup to acting as bulletin Executive Producer, all with comprehensive team support.

Day to day you will:
- Support the Executive Producer in creating audience-focused content.
- Research, develop and script news stories.
- Identify compelling stories and angles that resonate with our viewers.
- Uphold journalistic integrity, maintaining high standards of ethics and legal compliance.
- Contribute to the delivery of news across 11.30am, 4pm, 5.30pm and 6pm bulletins.
- Excel under pressure, assisting with rolling coverage during breaking news events.
- Operate in the control room environment to bring broadcasts to air.
- Manage multiple projects, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
- Champion multiplatform strategies, integrating content across digital, social, and traditional media.
- Cultivate a positive newsroom, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Qualifications
What youโll bring:
- Strong knowledge of news and current affairs.
- Experience in TV, radio, or other news media.
- Strong communication and broadcast writing skills.
- Creative, out-of-the-box thinking.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Understanding of media and broadcast law.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
