About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Procurement Category Manager to provide strategic guidance and/or lead sourcing and supplier management activities across a diverse portfolio of indirect spend categories, including Technology, Travel and Marketing.
This role will partner closely with business stakeholders to deliver cost optimisation, supplier performance improvements, risk management outcomes, and long-term value creation.
The successful candidate will bring strong category management capability, stakeholder engagement skills, and experience operating in a fast-paced corporate environment.
What does your day to day look like?
- Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including market analysis, RFx processes, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract execution
- Conduct spend analysis and identify opportunities to drive cost savings, efficiencies, and long-term value
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and provide strategic procurement and commercial guidance
- Manage supplier relationships, including governance, performance monitoring, contract lifecycle support, and risk management
- Ensure procurement activities align with governance frameworks, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and track procurement outcomes, including savings, supplier performance, and operational efficiency
What you’ll need:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Procurement or Category Management across multiple indirect spend categories.
- Demonstrated experience managing Technology, Travel, Marketing, and/or Corporate Services categories.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, sourcing methodologies, supplier governance, and category management practices.
- Strong commercial negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience managing supplier governance and third-party risk frameworks.
- Experience within the media industry (preferred).
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
