Job Description

The Role:

The Commercial Products team manages a fleet of custom-built systems that perform critical functions for our Sales Operations, Traffic, Finance, and Presentation teams. These systems allow us to sell ads in our linear broadcast schedules and manage all broadcast-related revenue.

  • Design, develop, and maintain integration flows using a variety of platforms, APIs, databases, protocols, and data formats.

  • Collaborate and review code with other developers on the Commercial Products team to ensure each integration adheres to the team's technical standards.

  • Strong focus on security practices

  • Developing and maintaining system integration architecture and documentation

  • Participate in and, when required, facilitate team ceremonies

  • Work with other engineers to peer review code, work through problem-solving, advise on best practices and help to champion a high standard of excellence

  • Mentor engineers in cloud development practices

  • Strong database experience with a clear understanding of writing performant database operations

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

Ideally, you are a principal engineer who is comfortable managing complexity at scale, understands the place/role of legacy within technology, and is comfortable driving iterative work and continuous improvement. 

Essential 

  • That has AWS certifications or demonstrable practical experience

  • Event-driven application design

  • Advanced knowledge of .NET Framework, .NET Core

  • Advanced database experience (PostgreSQL, SQL Server)

  • Experience working with WCF services 

  • DevOps principles and practices

  • Experience in any/all of the following would also be beneficial: Kubernetes, Kafka, AWS, GCP

  • Excellent understanding of Agile principles

  • This is a Sydney-based role requiring 3 days per week on-site at our North Sydney office.
