About the Role
triple j is on the hunt for a host for a brand new heavy music show – launching on the station in 2025. Are you passionate and knowledgeable about all the different sounds of all things metal, punk, hardcore and beyond? Do you find yourself constantly pumped to introduce your friends to your latest heavy music discovery? Are you forever curious to find out what makes your favourite artists tick? Do you find yourself in or at least observing a chaotic pit every weekend? Then you might just be the next person to bring all things heavy to the masses on triple j!
What we need from you to apply:
You will join an established team who will welcome and support you in getting up to speed understanding the ABC and feeling part of the triple j team.

triple j is Australia’s biggest youth media brand: we’re right across video, social, digital and also doing audio via podcasts and radio. We passionately champion new music, help local acts get a leg up, explore pop culture, news, and anything that matters to young people. Our broader network includes our sister stations triple j Unearthed and Double J. We also love live music and have been recording it at pubs, clubs and festivals for our audience for nearly 50 years.
