Job Description
Do you thrive on innovation, strategy and putting the audience first? 9Podcasts is looking for a talented content creator and experienced leader to join our team. We create premium video and audio podcasts that inspire, inform, and entertain, and we're passionate about the power of conversation.
As a division of Nine Radio, we collaborate with talent and brands across the Nine Network to champion podcasts as a core content pillar.
Day to day you will:
- Lead the development of social media strategies for each podcast, using metrics from tools like YouTube Analytics, Emplifi, and Brandwatch to inform decisions and grow the audience.
- Work with the 9Podcasts Leadership team on the implementation of the overall social and video discovery and growth strategy
- Produce and publish a variety of video and graphic content for social media and other Nine platforms, including creating podcast highlights, video packages, and social media graphics.
- Manage a direct report, sharing the editing and publishing workload.
- Collaborate with producers, hosts, and broader Nine teams to execute content plans and share your video production and social media expertise.
- Actively create and manage social media communities and online ecosystems.
- Advise on systems, software and hardware for video and social production, scheduling, and reporting.Use AI to improve systems and processes for the team.
- Stay informed on current news and cultural trends to identify opportunities for creating timely, relevant content.

Qualifications
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience significantly growing audiences and creating successful content ecosystems and a vision for how to implement that experience at Nine
- Proven technical proficiency in video editing with tools like Adobe Premiere, Da Vinci, Photoshop, and Canva. You're also skilled in social media publishing.
- A passion for data-led decision making and innovation, including proven experience using metrics to track content and production ROI
- Proven experience in leading a team and using metrics and analytics to inform strategy, grow audiences, and improve content ecosystems.
- Experience implementing AI into workflows, ideas about how to leverage it to streamline production and a finger on the pulse of emerging technologies and trends
- A strong understanding of social media platforms, their algorithms, SEO and how to leverage the latest content trends.
- Experience working in a commercial environment and an understanding of the need to balance commercial client deliverables with audience needs.
- Proven ability to create compelling copy and effectively distribute content across all digital platforms.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You're willing to give and receive feedback and have a proven ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines, balancing competing priorities.
- A genuine passion for podcasts and audio content, coupled with an understanding of the podcast market and how social media fits into its ecosystem.
