Job Description

As the Material Executive, you will be responsible for supporting the Traffic Manager – Materials in the management of the national TV Material Team and the daily operational functions of the TV Material Team.

Reporting to the Traffic Manager - Materials, you will utilise your extensive knowledge and insights of the TV Media landscape to lead a team of individuals in ensuring the accurate and timely allocation and management of key numbers of our clients &  agencies to the Commercial Schedule for telecast as per requirements agreed between the National Sales Team, Clients & Agencies and in line with Network Traffic policies.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Accurately apply material instructions to our daily commercial transmission schedules as per our schedule production deadlines as required
  • Assist with training and development of new staff members
  • Ensure all schedules and material application adheres to the requirements of the Television Code of Practice, further directions from ClearAds, and applicable industry codes, legislation and regulations
  • Be responsive to ensure priority is provided as required for late changes
  • Ensure clear communication, written and verbal, when liaising with both internal and external clients and stakeholders
  • In any absence of the Traffic Manager –Materials, oversee the TV Material Team to ensure daily tasks are completed within required time frames
  • Any other tasks where required

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Competency in both Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

Desirable:

  • Experience in Broadcast Traffic is highly desirable
  • Extensive knowledge of the Commercial Television Code of Practice and related legislations
  • Familiarity with how a commercial television station operates
  • Diploma or Degree related to Media and/or Management
  • Working knowledge of Broadcast Traffic systems
