The Role:

As our Communications lead, you will be the voice of our business. This is a
dual-focus role: you will lead the communications strategy for our business,
overseeing internal and external communications, plus manage the marketing
efforts for our prestigious Duty-Free division across six Airports.

You will act as a bridge between our head office support staff, executive team,
our airport partners, and our 2,000+ store team members across Australia and New
Zealand.

What You’ll Do:

  • Duty Free Strategic Lead: Develop and execute bespoke marketing activity for
    our Duty Free and Luxury pillars, ensuring a premium brand voice that aligns
    with global standards.
  • Airport & Stakeholder Relations: Manage high-level communications with airport
    partners, including the preparation of media releases and industry
    announcements.
  • Digital Presence: Take full ownership of the corporate website and LinkedIn
    presence, ensuring our digital footprint reflects our position as an industry
    innovator.
  • Internal Narrative: Lead company-wide updates to foster engagement across a
    diverse, dispersed workforce from the support office to the shop floor.
  • CSR & PEPS Program: Drive our Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives as
    part of the global PEPS program, ensuring our commitment to the planet and
    people is at the forefront of our story.
  • Executive Support: Serve as a strategic writer and advisor to the CEO and COO,
    crafting executive-level presentations, keynote speeches, and board reports.

What We’re Looking For:

You are a mid-to-senior professional with 5–8 years of experience in corporate
communications, PR, or strategic marketing. You think "big picture" who
understands how a well-timed media release or a sharp company update.

  • Experience: Proven track record in a fast-paced retail or travel environment
    highly desirable.
  • Stakeholder Management: The confidence to advise senior leadership and manage
    complex relationships with external partners.
  • Agility: The ability to pivot from writing a high-level corporate presentation
    to managing a viral media event (like a visiting possum in Hobart Store
    Airport!) without missing a beat.
  • Detail-Oriented: A perfectionist’s eye for tone, brand consistency, and visual
    presentation.
