The Strategic Policy, Science and Engagement Group is seeking a Manager, Website & Digital Communications to lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for the Department’s NPWS and Energy websites and digital channels.

In this role, you will lead the delivery of the Department’s NPWS and Energy websites and digital channels, overseeing content, user experience and technical enhancements across a complex portfolio. You will manage a multidisciplinary team of digital and web specialists, provide expert advice on best practice and emerging technologies, and ensure the Department’s digital presence is accessible, high performing and aligned with government standards and strategic priorities. Working closely with communications leaders, ICT and business stakeholders, you will balance strategic planning with the delivery of time‑critical priorities, using insights and analytics to drive continuous improvement.

About You

You are an experienced digital leader with strong expertise in website and digital channel management, and a proven ability to lead and develop specialist teams. You bring a strategic mindset, combined with hands‑on understanding of content governance, user experience, accessibility and technical delivery in a complex organisation.

You are confident engaging with senior stakeholders, able to translate complex requirements into practical digital solutions, and comfortable working in a high‑volume, fast‑changing environment. Strong communication skills, sound judgement and a collaborative approach will enable you to influence outcomes and deliver high‑quality results.

Key knowledge and experience

  • Extensive experience leading a team of website communication and digital channel specialists in the coordination of content, user experience and technical enhancements.

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, digital management, marketing or related discipline and/or relevant extensive work experience.
