Japan Digital Innovation Lead, AWS APJ Innovation and Engagement

As a Digital Innovation Lead, you will have an exciting opportunity to lead
customer engagements and shape and deliver the Digital Innovation program,

working with Japan sales teams and leadership and other APJ and Worldwide teams.
Your primary responsibility will be to identify, develop, and lead engagements
with our emerging & fast-growing customers – engaging line of business and
C-suite leaders, qualifying opportunities, leading innovation engagements
utilizing Amazon mechanisms and driving resultant prototypes and scaled
solutions. In addition, in-line with our sales strategy and go-to-market, you
will develop and deliver sales plays and new models that help customers
discover, explore and gain confidence with our AWS innovation offerings.

You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial enterprise
technology sales environment, and working with cross-functional teams as many
parts of the program will have interdependencies with other teams within AWS.
Typically cross-functional collaboration includes sales teams, sales leadership,
solutions architects, marketing, partners, professional services, and sales
enablement.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work with Sales leadership and teams to identify and qualify customers for the
    Digital Innovation program
  • Develop C-suite and line-of-business relationships with leading innovators
    within customer organisations
  • Deliver high quality workshops using Amazonian innovation mechanisms to
    identify specific end-customer problems or opportunities and help customer teams
    articulate a potential solution
  • Coordinate & support the translation of solutions into meaningful experiments
    supported by business cases, working with relevant build teams and partners
  • Train & enable local sales teams to help qualify customers, and – in some
    cases – lead elements of the digital innovation engagement
  • Effectively track and articulate the value of engagements underway, and major
    wins
  • Help develop and improve the Digital Innovation engagement model based on
    engagement experience
  • Work with the Partner team to identify, engage partners who can accelerate our
    approach to digital innovation
  • Conduct customer briefings, present at customer events, further AWS
    solutions-led thought leadership

#AWSJAPAN Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of developing, negotiating and
    executing business agreements experience
  • Experience partnering with executive-level leaders to identifying and solving
    business issues
  • 7+ years of digital advertising, product marketing, consulting, business
    development, or other customer-facing role experience
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese
  • Business level English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience interpreting
    data and making business recommendations
  • Experience in the tech industry or equivalent
