Improvement & Digital Analyst

We have an exciting 2-year max term contract opportunity for a curious,
analytical, and technology-focused Improvement & Digital Analyst to join
Downer’s People Services Continuous Improvement Team.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional who enjoys
questioning how things work, solving problems, and finding smarter ways to
improve processes and customer experiences.

As an Improvement & Digital Analyst, you will work at the intersection of
people, process, data, and technology, helping to improve how People Shared
Services supports employees and leaders across payroll, HR services, workforce
administration, and employee self-service. A major focus of the role will be
supporting and enhancing ServiceNow, one of the world’s leading digital workflow
platforms, while contributing to continuous improvement, automation, AI, and
digital transformation initiatives.

Supporting the Continuous Improvement team, you will collaborate closely with
stakeholders across People Services, Technology, and Corporate Functions to
improve service delivery, optimise business processes, and drive measurable
outcomes for thousands of employees across Downer.

About the Role

In this role you will:

* Support continuous improvement initiatives across People Shared Services to
enhance employee and manager experiences.
* Work with ServiceNow to improve workflows, self-service capabilities, digital
experiences, and service delivery processes.
* Analyse operational and business data to identify trends, insights, risks,
and improvement opportunities.
* Support digital transformation, automation, and AI initiatives designed to
improve efficiency and customer outcomes.
* Facilitate process discovery workshops, stakeholder discussions, and process
mapping activities.
* Gather and document business requirements and contribute to the design of
practical and scalable solutions.
* Assist with the testing, implementation, and adoption of new systems,
technologies, and process improvements.
* Assist with the testing, implementation, and adoption of new systems,

* Develop reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to support data-driven
decision-making.
* Collaborate with stakeholders across People Services, Technology, and
business teams to deliver improvement initiatives.
* Contribute to service optimisation, workflow redesign, automation
opportunities, and continuous improvement programs.
* Support the identification and implementation of innovative technologies that
improve enterprise service delivery.

No two days are the same. One week you may be analysing service trends and
building dashboards; the next, you could be optimising a ServiceNow workflow,
supporting an automation initiative, redesigning a business process, or helping
trial a new AI solution.

You bring:

* A qualification (or currently completing studies) in Business, Information
Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, Process Improvement, or a related
discipline.
* A strong interest in technology, digital innovation, AI, automation, and
business improvement.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to
identify patterns, trends, and improvement opportunities.
* The ability to gather, interpret, and communicate information clearly to a
variety of stakeholders.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from experienced
professionals across multiple disciplines.
* The ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced
environment.
* A passion for continuous improvement and delivering better customer
experiences.

Experience in the following areas will be highly regarded:

• ServiceNow.

• Power BI, Power Platform, or similar digital technologies.

• Data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development.

• Process mapping, business analysis, or continuous improvement methodologies.

• Automation, low-code development, AI, or digital workflow technologies.

• Shared services, operations, customer service, or service delivery
environments.

You are known for your curiosity, initiative, learning agility, and ability to
turn ideas into practical improvements that create value for customers and the
business.
