Job Description

We're seeking a Head of BI to lead and inspire our team, driving critical sales insights that shape our business strategy. Your leadership will be key in guiding a talented group of professionals to deliver impactful reporting and innovative solutions.

Day to day will include but won’t be limited to:

  • Lead and mentor a team of six professionals, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer.
  • Generate accurate and timely sales and revenue performance reports.
  • Oversee the creation and management of sales budgets, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Track incentives and KPIs, ensuring they are met and reported effectively.
  • Collaborate with technology and data teams to develop and implement advanced reporting solutions.
  • Manage agency revenue tracking, providing insights into performance and opportunities.
  • Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders and co-author strategies with the data team.
  • Present insights and strategies to senior leadership and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Drive a customer-focused approach to delivering meaningful and usable reporting solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance principles, minimising risk across reporting processes.

Qualifications

What we would like to see from your profile:

  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, with a strong focus on delegation and team management.
  • Experience in a sales-focused data or analytics role within the media, agency, broadcast, or publishing industry.
  • Deep understanding of the media trading landscape in Australia, particularly within metro TV or BVOD.
  • Ability to conceptualise and think critically through large data sets, understanding the flow of data from source systems.
  • Experience working closely with sales teams, with a strong grasp of budgeting and revenue systems.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfort with Salesforce or equivalent CRM systems, and familiarity with sales planning processes.
  • Ability to set a positive team culture, focusing on skill development and high performance.
  • Experience in managing and developing sales data strategies, with a focus on operational efficiency and insight generation.
  • Comfortable with data models, media sales workflows, and risk-aversion in data governance.
