Job Description
Nine is seeking a Finance Business Analyst to join our Local Production Finance Team on a max-term contract until October 2025
Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Analyst, this role supports the financial management of production including The Block, MAFS, Travel Guides and more using WIP accounting principles.
Day to day you will:
- Monthly review departmental / program expenses and analysis of variances to budget and forecast, for both P&L departments and WIP projects
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and present monthly departmental management accounts and program cost reporting to department heads and key users of financial information
- Monthly expenditure forecasts, for both P&L departments and WIP projects and explanation of variances to budget, including Headcount analysis
- Prepare annual departmental / program budgets including salary costs, production costs and internal recharges
- Expenditure approval, including petty cash and debit card reconciliations and journals
- Business partner with Network Executives and Production Staff to support with program budgets, reporting, talent payments and analysis

Qualifications
What we would like to see:
- Qualified Accountant (CA or CPA)
- Proven financial experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong reconciliation skills, analytical skills and attention to detail
- Television or Production Company industry experience is desirable but not essential
