The Marketing and Communications Office plays a crucial role in building and maintaining the School’s brand and reputation through promoting its thought leadership globally, creating and reinforcing consistent messaging to the public, developing and driving implementation of communications plans and strategies across multiple channels, providing guidance and advice on effective internal and external communications and issues management, and establishing lasting connections with the School’s community.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Public Relations and Communications, the appointee will be responsible for (a) developing and implementing effective social media and content marketing strategies to enhance the School's digital presence, drive engagement, and support broader marketing initiatives; (b) planning, executing, measuring, and optimising multi-channel digital and social media campaigns to support key branding and marketing objectives; (c) working closely with internal teams and stakeholders to create compelling multimedia content tailored for various digital and social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, WeChat, Rednote and Facebook); (d) managing service providers for digital campaigns, targeted advertising, SEO/ SEM, social media platform management, and website maintenance and enhancement; (e) advising internal stakeholders on social media best practices, emerging trends, and platform-specific strategies; (f) monitoring website performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing user experience enhancements to maximise engagement and accessibility; (g) monitoring online communities and working closely with the media team to identify and mitigate potential risks; (h) managing budget planning and tracking; and (i) performing other impromptu duties as assigned.

Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Media, or a related discipline; (ii) fulfilled the language requirement set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo; (iii) at least 5 years’ post-qualification executive experience in social media management, content development, digital marketing, advertising, or related fields; (iv) familiarity with major social platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, WeChat, Rednote) and digital marketing tools; (v) proficiency in WordPress and website content management systems; (vi) an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); (vii) a dynamic, creative, and collaborative mindset with strong organisational and people skills; (viii) attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership; and (ix) the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for written test(s) as appropriate.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
