Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sport Content Partnerships Manager to join our Content Partnerships team! The Content Partnerships team is part of a cross functional group within Nineโs commercial arm. Within this broader marketing services department, we have experts in content, client experience, strategy, creative, media production and marketing.
This team supports the broadcast, digital, print and audio national agency and direct sales teams and work closely with our network programming and production teams, external sporting bodies and production partners and digital and audio publishing teams to drive the development, negotiation, and delivery of market leading partnership solutions for our clients.
This role is responsible for the development, negotiation and delivery of market leading brand solutions across Nineโs Rugby League (NRL) and complete sport content portfolio and is responsible for working with programming, production and sporting bodies to support the sales team in market to drive commercial outcomes.
You will take complete ownership over your content portfolio and drive innovation and new ways of thinking.
Day to day you will:
- Produce compelling go to market collateral and be responsible for the timely communication of opportunities to the commercial teams
- Develop, negotiate and articulate bespoke content integrated brand solutions to drive premium revenue
- Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders from multiple departments in order to develop collaborative working relationships
- Collaborate with the commercial team to pitch commercial opportunities to brands and agencies as needed and manage the pipeline of commercial opportunities to deliver the best outcomes.
- Be the lead on your designated portfolio; provide content integration specialist support and knowledge to the wider Nine team
- Operate effectively in a solutions-based culture, demonstrate proactivity and negotiate outcomes to that effect
- Working closely with the Client Experience team, deliver seamless implementation across your content portfolio for your clients and programming / production partners.
- Effectively manage conflict resolution and compliance on campaign deliverables, working closely with both content & Client Experience team to deliver positive outcomes.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of Content Partnerships Executive role providing guidance and development opportunities where appropriate
Qualifications
What youโll bring:
- An interesting mix of expertise in integrating brands into content across broadcast, digital, social, licensing and events.
- Strategic thinking, the ability to work at a fast pace, and excellent planning skills.
- Proven experience negotiating with content creators, sales teams, clients, and agencies.
- Confidence as a communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- The ability to perform in a rapid, dynamic environment where critical thinking, agility, creativity, and confidence are essential.
- Proactivity; you are improvement-oriented and demonstrate high levels of ownership and responsibility.
- A collaborative approach, able to navigate multiple stakeholders with different objectives to get what you need to market, and a master at negotiating.
- The capacity to manage and influence others to deliver outcomes, whether or not you directly manage team members.
