Job Description
The Content Lead is a pivotal role within Nine’s Trade Marketing team, sitting at the intersection of creativity, strategy, and execution. As part of a high-performing group led by the Head of Content, this role supports the delivery of innovative and impactful content solutions that drive Nine’s position as the leading multi-platform media network in Australia. The team’s overarching purpose is to empower sales and marketing teams with exceptional storytelling, market-leading campaigns, and tools that enhance Nine’s business proposition.
The Content Lead will manage a variety of projects across internal and external communications, working closely with stakeholders to conceptualise and deliver campaigns, presentations, and other trade content. As the bridge between senior leadership and the Group Trade Marketing Manager, this role offers the opportunity to influence Nine’s market presence while mentoring junior team members and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Day to day you will:
- Develop and implement strategic content initiatives that align with Nine’s trade marketing objectives.
- Take the lead on content creation and messaging for go-to-market campaigns, ensuring they reflect Nine’s tone of voice and market position.
- Generate creative, insight-driven ideas that elevate Nine’s trade marketing efforts, focusing on both short-term and long-term impact.
- Own the delivery of high-quality, on-brand content across multiple platforms, including trade press, Nine’s trade marketing website, and tentpole presentations/events.
- Act as a key driver for go-to-market campaigns, liaising with internal teams like Audience Insights, Content Partnerships, and SME Sales ‘Nine Plus’ to ensure campaign excellence.
- Work with the design team to bring creative briefs to life, from initial concept to final asset delivery.

- Collaborate with the Group Trade Marketing Manager and Trade Marketing Executives to foster an environment of creativity and accountability.
- Digest insights and analytics to inform content strategies that deliver measurable business results.
- Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends, competitor analysis, and audience engagement techniques to keep Nine at the forefront of trade marketing innovation.
People leader responsibilities:
- Support and mentor team members, contributing to career development and skills enhancement across the Trade Marketing team.
- Act as a role model for independent working, creative problem-solving, and high-level stakeholder management.

Qualifications
Essential qualifications, experience & skills
- Proven experience in marketing, sales, or media, with a proven track record of delivering impactful campaigns and content.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience working across senior leadership and diverse internal teams.
- A creative mindset, with the ability to digest insights and translate them into innovative ideas and actionable strategies.
- Strong project management skills, capable of independently overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an eye for crafting persuasive and engaging messaging.
- Proven ability to think strategically while also delivering on day-to-day execution.
Desirable qualifications, experience & skills
- Exposure to go-to-market strategies and campaign development.
- Familiarity with tools and platforms related to digital content creation like Adobe Campaign Analytics, and presentation design.
- An understanding of Nine’s multi-platform media ecosystem and its competitive market position.
