Job Description
We’re looking for an agile, commercially-minded professional to join our team as a Commercial Brand Executive. In this role, you’ll drive new revenue opportunities through licensing, partnerships, and direct-to-consumer sales via The Store, while helping to elevate Nine Publishing's brand partnerships and product offerings.
As a key player in our commercial strategy, you’ll collaborate across departments to unlock new revenue streams, increase brand visibility, and ensure the successful execution of licensing and e-commerce initiatives. You’ll work closely with the Director of Commercial Growth and Head of Corporate Subscriptions & Licensing to develop and implement strategies that maximise the value of Nine's intellectual property (IP) and products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow The Store e-commerce platform, driving sales through targeted digital marketing and social media strategies.
- Explore and develop strategic brand collaborations to generate new revenue streams.
- Work closely with leadership on licensing business development assisting in negotiating and securing IP agreements and revitalizing consumer licensing opportunities.
- Cultivate and manage commercial partnerships, both existing and new, through competitions and social media partnerships.
- Oversee product selection, merchandising, and inventory management for The Store to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Work with the marketing, editorial, and design teams to create and implement strategies that align with Nine's brand identity and objectives.
- Forecast and report on all revenue streams, including licensing, affiliate, and e-commerce.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create and execute strategies that leverage Nine’s assets for growth.
Qualifications
What we would like to see:
- Proven experience in brand management, licensing and/or e-commerce.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and affiliate marketing strategies.
- Strong understanding of licensing agreement processes and the ability to support the management of commercial partnerships.
- Experience in e-commerce platforms and driving direct-to-consumer sales.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in sales forecasting and reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
- Experience in consumer product merchandising and inventory management is a plus.
