About Customer Solutions Growth Regions Division

This team, alongside dealers, engages closely with customers to create, customize and adapt solutions to meet their needs by leveraging the extensive range of offerings available today across products and services, digital and technology, rental and used, and financing. The division is regionally focused on Africa, the Middle East, Eurasia, Asia (excluding Japan), and Latin America (LATAM) and organized into three functional areas: Customer Facing, Customer Solutions and Business Enablers.

Role Definition:

As a Marketing Communications Consultant – China, you will support the development and execution of China marketing communications programs that help Caterpillar respond to the current China market reality. This role is expected to translate China regional marketing strategy into disciplined execution.

What You Will Do:

  • China Marketing Communications Execution - Support the implementation of China marketing communications plans aligned with CSGR priorities and China regional marketing focus.
  • Dealer Engagement & Co-Marketing - Work closely with China dealers to support co-marketing planning, customer events, industry seminars, live shows, and local campaign activation.
  • Campaign Delivery, Lead Quality & Demand Generation - Execute integrated China campaigns supporting Prime, aftermarket services, technology adoption, and other business priorities.
  • Digital, Technology & Customer Experience Operation - Support China digital marketing operations and customer engagement platform improvements.
  • Customer Persona, Insights & Value Messaging - Collect and consolidate insights on China customer behavior, market competition, project pipeline signals, and dealer feedback.
  • Agency, Budget & Operational Coordination - Coordinate with agencies, dealers, internal partners, and external vendors to ensure quality execution of campaigns, events, content, and digital activities.

  • Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning.
  • Vendor/Supplier Management: Knowledge of external provider management processes.
  • Promotion and Marketing Communications: Knowledge of different promotional and marketing communication techniques.

Top Candidates may also have: Experience in China B2B marketing, construction equipment, industrial, automotive, technology, or dealer-led go-to-market environments.

Additional Information:

To be reviewed Must be able to travel: 20–30%, primarily within China.
