Job Description

Nine Brisbane offers an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Camera Operator to join our highly successful News team. As an integral part of our dynamic News division, you will contribute to the delivery of engaging and high-quality news bulletins to our Queensland audience seven days a week.

Day to day you will:

  • Operate broadcast cameras for both live and pre-recorded news segments.
  • Contribute to live cross procedures, with Dejero unit experience being advantageous.
  • Work on live news bulletins, utilising strong communication and precise editing skills.
  • Input essential data into media exchange and ingest systems.
  • Collaborate effectively within a professional team to deliver timely and compelling news content.
  • Provide efficient support to local teams and assist in planning to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule across a 7-day rotating roster, adapting to varied times and locations.

Qualifications

What youโ€™ll bring: 

  • Proficient camera operation and editing skills for news broadcasts.
  • Familiarity with live cross procedures and Dejero units (preferred).
  • Experience in the news industry and live bulletin production.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and proactive planning.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and a proactive approach to sharing information and solutions.
  • Full Driverโ€™s License (required)
  • CASA RPAS Drone Certification (preferred).
