About the role

The Business Manager is accountable for delivering their individual territory budget and market share objectives for the designated sales portfolio. This person champions the Are Media sales narrative in market, providing rich customer, category and media brand knowledge matched with commercial acumen across both print, digital and social media.

A strong focus on maintaining deep working relationships with clients and their teams, while ensuring high quality omnichannel briefs and revenue opportunities are delivered to achieve Are Media’s ad sales revenue targets. 

Working with award winning head office teams including Research, Strategy and Creative, this role provides the opportunity to lead and deliver within an exciting, transitioning company. 

Duties

  • Responsible for driving revenue growth across Are Media omni channels
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to maximise influence and develop opportunities
  • Work with interstate teams to build go-to-market strategies for sponsorships and tentpoles
  • Maintain pipeline and client plans within the portfolio
  • Challenge the status quo with high quality, well researched, strategic plans

Skills and experience

  • Media sales, specifically digital and social experience required
  • Existing client relationships in market with the ability to leverage revenue outcomes
  • Ability to negotiate skilfully in tough situations and navigate challenging scenarios
  • Set challenging goals, think and plan ahead as well as juggle competing demands to achieve deadlines
