Job Description

As a Broadcast Technology Support Technician, you will provide vital front-line technical support and expertise for Nine's sophisticated production systems. You will be the primary point of contact for internal customers, ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality broadcast services by proactively resolving hardware and software issues across our 24/7 operations.

Day to day you will:

  • The successful candidate will be part of an enthusiastic team responsible for day to day support of sophisticated, up to date, technical broadcast systems.
  • Serve as the primary contact for internal stakeholders via phone and ticketing systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across studio automation and live production.
  • Support diverse environments including post-production, digital assets, and news gathering.
  • Manage the lifecycle of incidents to ensure timely resolution of broadcast system faults.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and contribute to staff knowledge sharing.
  • Monitor industry trends to support the continuous improvement of broadcast standards.

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, technology, or equivalent practical industry experience.
  • A customer-centric approach with the ability to manage multiple shifting priorities.
  • Clear communication skills and the motivation to work both independently and in teams.
  • A proactive attitude toward problem-solving and upskilling in new technologies.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating 24/7 roster, including early starts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Prior experience providing technical support within broadcast or production environments is an advantage.
