Job Description

Drive impactful Radio and digital audio revenue across the dynamic Brisbane market in this key client-facing leadership role. Reporting to the Commercial Director - Audio, you will spearhead a high-performing team, directly managing T1, Independent, and Direct sales managers to exceed ambitious business targets. 

You'll craft and execute a strategic business plan to dominate Nine's Brisbane audio revenue and market share. By forging strong, high-level client relationships and leading engaging discussions, you'll architect innovative advertising solutions leveraging our powerful Radio and digital audio assets. 

Collaboration is key, you'll work closely with content and specialist teams, and partner with the NEC CRO to amplify the commercial impact of Nine Radio and Audio within major group deals. This is your opportunity to shape the future of audio advertising at Nine.

Day to day you will:

  • Understand radio and digital audio's role in Nine's broader commercial strategy.
  • Build and lead a performance-driven team focused on radio and digital audio results.
  • Possess strong knowledge of radio/digital audio alone and integrated with NEC assets.
  • Identify key agency clients and strategise to grow radio/digital audio revenue.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client radio and digital audio business strategies.
  • Cultivate valuable relationships with clients, agency partners (audio), and internal teams.
  • Lead teams to create effective radio and digital audio solutions for complex briefs.
  • Develop high-performing teams, encourage open communication, mentor staff, and support a positive, safe work environment meeting company standards.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring: 

  • Ability to quickly grasp Nine's multimedia assets to deliver optimal client and business solutions.
  • Proven success in closing deals across diverse cross-platform offerings.
  • Strong commercial acumen and business insight.
  • Advanced negotiation and persuasive communication skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Experience in leading and managing large teams effectively.
  • Demonstrated skill in solving complex problems and understanding client needs.
  • Proven history of building strong internal and external working relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, adapt and be flexible to change, leading your team through change 
  • Bachelor degree in Marketing/Management or similar (desirable)
