Job Description

Australia's highly respected food brand, Good Food, is looking for an energetic Audio/Video Producer to join its team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in video production, as well as an interest in Australia's food scene.

Working across Good Food’s editorial and commercial teams, you’ll be responsible for both editorial and commercial campaigns and play a pivotal role in shaping and executing Good Food’s content strategy. We’re looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas about storytelling and help grow our audience with innovative content that builds a loyal community.

Day to day you will:

  • Produce, shoot and edit entertaining, engaging and best-in-class video content for our Instagram, TikTok and YouTube channels.
  • Originate high-quality audio-video content that reflects our editorial values and reaches our audiences via our mastheads, social platforms and beyond.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop concepts and content. That includes working with the partnerships departments to assist them in their goals.
  • Manage competing priorities, maintain high standards and meet deadlines.
  • Work to ensure the tone and balance of content is appropriate, targeted, reflects
  • Good Food's brand identity and resonates with the audience.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience in growing audiences, and developing and delivering original, high-quality audio/video content. You’ll have a knack for crafting engaging and compelling videos that build audience engagement, and be obsessed with finding the best way to articulate a story or piece of content that resonates with the audience. You’ll have a passion for food news and a keen eye for story angles.

We would like to see:

  • Proven experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your editing skills and creative vision.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
  • Solid understanding of video production processes, including shooting, editing, and post-production techniques.
  • A strong, audience-focused news sense.
  • Can generate original stories from scratch, but equally comfortable working as part of a team.
  • Creative flair to make content stand out in a competitive environment. Ability to think visually and tell stories effectively through video.
  • Work to ensure the tone and balance of content is appropriate, targeted, reflects Good Food's brand identity and resonates with the audience.
  • Capacity to successfully manage competing priorities, maintain high standards and meet deadlines.
