Job Description

Are you passionate about Audio and Television production? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and quick thinking are key? We’re looking for a Full Time Audio Assistant to support our Audio Directors across News, Sport, Variety, and Outside Broadcast productions.

About the Role

As an Audio Assistant, based at our 1 Denison, North Sydney office, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring seamless sound quality for live and pre-recorded broadcasts. You’ll work closely with the Audio Director, Floor Manager, and on-air talent, handling microphones, monitoring essential equipment, and making quick adjustments as needed.

Day to day you will: 

  • Assist the Audio Director in studio and outside broadcast
  • Set up and place microphones/IFBs on presenters and guests
  • Attend production meetings and review rundowns.
  • Respond swiftly to instructions
  • Check and report any audio equipment issues
  • Work collaboratively with technical teams and on-air Presenters
