Job Description

9Honey is Seeking an Associate Digital Producer to join the team and support with finding breaking stories, generating original story ideas, research, writing and curating content for the site. Additionally, you will be required to source images, video and other attributes needed for on site and social media.

Please note shift work and weekend work will be required.

Day to day you will:

  • Write and produce daily content in a timely matter and meet rolling deadlines, creating six to seven lifestyle news stories a day  
  • Upload stories and publish via CMS (training provided)
  • Amplify content on different platforms (social media, Google Discover, Showcase) 
  • Daily use of data and dashboards to achieve agreed content benchmarks (training provided)
  • Generate story ideas, pitch and be across breaking lifestyle, celebrity and parenting news as well as own original ideas 
  • Interview talent
  • Understand and follow media trends and upskill in new technologies 
     

 

Qualifications

What you’ll bring: 

  • Interest in Journalism, 12 months experience or internships is an advantage
  • University degree in media related field (desired)
  • Ability to write fast, accurate copy and meet rolling deadlines under pressure
  • Understanding of legal best practices (additional training provided)
  • First-hand experience with publishing in a CMS (desired)
  • Strong grammar and research capabilities
  • Basic photo editing and digital video skills
  • Basic knowledge of digital video and SEO
