to partner with Sales and drive the business forward. Leveraging digital and
data-driven strategies to support sustainable growth, and promoting our brand,
capabilities, and product solutions across social media channels, are essential
aspects of this role.
As Executive Director within Japan Marketing, you will collaborate closely with
the Japan CEO and distribution teams, supported by the regional marketing team,
to enhance brand recognition and foster business expansion in Japan. You will
lead the development and execution of marketing strategies across multiple
channels, ensuring they are aligned to the marketing vision and objectives as
well as overall business goals. Your responsibilities will include managing a
broad range of marketing activities—from always-on brand visibility across
multiple channels to elevating client experience, including in-person events—to
increase client engagement. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage
stakeholders effectively, especially during periods of market volatility and
change, is essential. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and fluency in both
English and Japanese are critical for success. This role reports locally to the
Japan CEO and functionally to the APAC Chief Marketing Officer.
Job Responsibilities
- Set clear goals and success metrics aligned with marketing priorities and
local business objectives - Develop and execute Japan’s marketing strategy to drive business growth and
operational efficiency - Build brand awareness as a leading global asset manager and ETF provider in
Japan - Lead the always-on promotion of our brand, capabilities, and product
solutions across multiple channels to support client acquisition and
relationship development - Promote product diversification to drive sales conversion, leverage digital,
technology, and data to differentiate our offerings and accelerate growth - Plan and implement digital marketing initiatives to enhance customer
engagement and sales conversion - Manage corporate communications and public relations locally
- Conduct market research to monitor brand and marketing performance versus
competitors - Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of marketing activities
- Lead, motivate, and develop the marketing team, fostering a high-performance
culture - Manage stakeholders across organizational levels and functions, ensuring
effective collaboration and communication
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Extensive marketing experience with proven ability to drive business growth,
covering a wide range of marketing disciplines - Demonstrated success in transforming business and marketing through data and
digital strategies - Strategic thinker with excellent execution skills, strong business acumen and
results-oriented approach - Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage stakeholders effectively,
especially during periods of change or market volatility - Ability to thrive under pressure and manage stress effectively, maintaining
high performance and sound judgment in challenging situations - Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to senior management and
across organizational levels - Deep knowledge of digital marketing
- Robust quantitative skills and a client-focused mindset
- Fluency in Japanese and English (written and spoken)
- Excellent visual, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Effective communicator across organizational levels and cultures
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Proven success in marketing leadership. Experience in asset management or
investment marketing is highly advantageous
