Job Description
The 9Now Content Operator works within a team tasked with the daily media asset management of content on the 9Now platform. This is an opportunity to be a part of Nine’s programming department, responsible for driving Nine’s broadcast and 9Now content strategy and the opportunity to engage and learn about Television content and audiences. Career pathways for this role include but are not limited to Programming Assistant, Production assistant, Associate Product Manager, Operations Coordinator and Operations Manager.
Day to day you will:
- Uploading and scheduling of VOD series, seasons, episodes & clips
- Compiling VOD episodes for publish
- Ensuring metadata quality assurance across all series and episode descriptions
- Using editorial judgement editing thumbnails
- Scheduling and monitoring live stream events
- Updating homepage rails and connected TV feeds as set by 9Now Programmer
- Troubleshooting and escalating issues as they arise with the Technology, Product and the wider Programming & Operations teams.
- Liaising with internal and external Operations teams to ensure that content is published as scheduled
- Quality control of VOD, Live and key art assets on the 9Now platform
What you'll bring:
- Prior experience in video content publishing, editing, and encoding workflows.
- Ability to work flexibly across a 24/7 rotating roster, including nights and weekends.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in deadline-driven environments.
- Proficiency in G Suite and basic video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Exceptional time management skills with a focus on task prioritisation.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
- An adaptable mindset with an eagerness to learn new technologies and systems.
