Job Description

Join Nine as 4BC's Breakfast Executive Producer, where you'll drive compelling content creation, engage directly with listeners, and lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced, supportive environment dedicated to delivering top-tier, relevant breakfast radio. Join the dedicated 4BC content team and shape the city's daily conversation!

Day to day you will:

  • Drive the strategic development and execution of high-impact, audience-focused content.
  • Lead the conceptualisation, research, scripting, and editing of complex stories and segments.
  • Ensure all broadcast material adheres to the highest standards of accuracy and legal compliance.
  • Oversee live caller management, ensuring seamless and appropriate on-air contributions.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Promotions, News, and Digital teams to develop integrated content strategies and commercial opportunities.
  • Proactively identify and pursue significant story leads, cultivating key sources and interviewees.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

  • Extensive producing experience in broadcast or news media, including leading and mentoring teams.
  • Deep understanding of news, current affairs, and media law.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and broadcast writing skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and thrive in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong customer focus and excellent phone manner.
  • Collaborative team player with developed social and digital media skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Media, Journalism, or a related field.
