The service has grown to become the number one online travel company in Japan, and continues to grow as it provides more travel experiences to travelers around the world.
At the Commerce & Marketing Company, we operate services with industry-leading market shares, including the internet shopping mall 'Rakuten Ichiba,' online travel booking site (OTA) 'Rakuten Travel,' and Japan's largest golf course reservation site 'Rakuten GORA,' among other e-commerce services.
Department Overview
Rakuten Travel, Japan's largest online travel agency, aims to enrich people's lives through travel. To this end, the mission of the Marketing Department is to communicate the value of Rakuten Travel's services to domestic and international travelers through the most appropriate means of marketing approach and to increase the number of Rakuten Travel fans. Our goal is to turn Japanese travelers as well as travelers from all over the world into Rakuten Travel fans.
Position: Why We Hire
Having grown to become the No. 1 service in Japan in terms of number of users, Rakuten Travel's next goal is to gain the support of even more users and become a standard service for travel. We are planning to increase the number of employees to strengthen our organization for further business expansion.
Position Details
In this position, you will be responsible for analyzing and understanding the needs of Rakuten Travel users and directing projects and plans to maximize results.
- Progress and content design of special features and campaign pages
- Design and coding instructions, and quality control of eliverables
- Updating existing pages
- Site analysis and reporting
- Coordination with sales, marketing, and other departments
- Promote overall production projects, including new measures, improvements, and operations
- Creative direction with UX/UI designers
- Specific design and specification development for A/B testing and separation of functions
- QA and release work
- File management and operation using Git
- Solving operational issues and structuring the system
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Experience in web direction (2+ years)
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in design (Figma/Photoshop/Illustrator)
- Coding (HTML/CSS/JS) experience
- Logical thinking, problem solving and communication skills
- Experience with Git file management
- Experience leading projects and managing teams
- Experience in business operation improvement

Additional information on English Qualification
TOEIC Score exceeding 800 (or similar level of English ability) or a University Degree earned in an English-speaking country. Proof of qualifications will be required by the time of the job offer.
