The Role:
As a Business Analyst with QMS Media, you are responsible for identifying, analysing, and implementing changes required to our business systems. This includes scoping, solution design, validating new solutions, and then planning and delivering projects by managing people, resources, budget, and timelines, so support QMS goals.
This role requires a deep understanding of software development processes, including web development, digital media platforms, and data analytics. They will have proven experience with large-scale technology projects and delivering results on-time and within budget. They will also have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with other executives and stakeholders.
What you will be able to do:
- Work closely with business stakeholders in understanding the why behind any undertaking and translate this to our technology roadmap for the best solution with the help of your technology knowledge and experience.
- Work towards understanding the root cause of problems with our systems and processes, then influencing, and making the appropriate decisions, for the product that aligns with the portfolio and enterprise direction.
- Heavy involvement in providing guidance and advice to business users across different teams across QMS Media.
- Develop applications and software solutions that deliver business objectives
- Manage technology projects from initiation through completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on-time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
- Establish and maintain project management processes and tools and ensure that they are followed consistently across the technology team.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing technology systems and processes, and work with other teams to implement changes.
What are we looking for?
Ideally you will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a technical environment
- Experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, and Waterfall methodologies
- Exposure to systems integration, APIs, and data analysis
- Experience working with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, cloud-based solutions)
- Background in process mapping, workflow automation, and digital transformation projects
- Previous experience in industries such as media, advertising, sales, or technology is beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose business and system issues.
- Ability to recommend data-driven solutions and process optimisation.
- Excellent ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
