ABOUT THE ROLE
As Social Vertical Video Producer, you will assist in creating vertical video outputs for the AFL’s social media channels, in particular, Instagram (Reels), TikTok and YouTube (Shorts).
This is a hands-on role focused on ideating and editing fan-first content for platforms, with the aim of capitalising on trends and evolving best practices to generate significant cut through on the respective platforms.
The ability to ideate, create and publish content in a timely manner is essential and will require the Social Vertical Video Producer to be comfortable working independently at times to ensure optimal results.
The Social Vertical Video Producer may also be required to help with the production of longer form content for platforms such as YouTube.
OUR IDEAL TEAM MEMBER
Core Competencies:
- Proven hands-on experience editing vertical video content for social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts
- Excellent understanding of social vertical video best practices and trends and the ability to implement in a timely manner
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Premiere Pro and CapCut
- Key understanding of what content pillars and editing styles will best appeal to different audience groups and will be most suitable for different groups of subject matter
- Excellent storytelling skills with a passion and strong attention to detail
- Flexibility to work flexible days and hours, including gamedays, weekends and evenings
- Ability to work independently and as a team
Desired:
- Experience with other Adobe Creative Cloud offerings such as Photoshop and After Effects
- Experience creating video content about sport
- An understanding and passion for AFL and storytelling
