The Role
The ABC is looking for a Social Media Producer to oversee the ABC News South Australia social media strategy, to increase reach across web, app and third-party digital and social platforms.
The Job

Provide social media leadership and manage strategy for ABC News in South Australia.

Monitor social media communities to identify audience-driven issues and develop story opportunities.

Create innovative content to engage audiences and expand social media reach, targeting diverse communities.

Use social analytics to inform content decisions and identify engaging trends and stories.

Collaborate with teams to achieve shared goals and stay updated on the latest social media developments.

About You
You'll have:

Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent skills and experience.

Experience curating news content for social media in a news media organisation.

Ability to analyse engagement metrics for decision-making.

Understanding of how to grow audiences on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.

Knowledge of contemporary audience preferences and mobile social media use.

Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
