The Role:
The objective of the Small Format Product Manager is to drive revenue and market share growth for the Small Format network (City of Sydney, The Convenience Network and Gold Coast Street Furniture) and QMS Media as one national Sales Team. Key to achieving this outcome is working closely and collectively with the core Sales (Group Business Directors, Senior Account Managers, Account Managers and Account Coordinators), Trading, Commercial, Strategy, Solutions, Strategy & Insights teams to deliver shared business outcomes and strategic priorities.
Critical to success will be the ability to apply a high level of product knowledge to support sales in market and champion the network and its products.
What you will be able to do:
- Lead the training and development of sales team members to enhance their knowledge and skills.
- Act as an in-market champion for the Small Format network, driving revenue performance through engagement and advocacy.
- Continuously improve sales-related processes, including development of efficient workflows, Creation and refinement of collateral, templates, and communication strategies, and implementation of effective training programs.
- Provide in-market leadership for the network by supporting GTM events and programs in collaboration with the Sales team.
- Play a proactive role in introducing initiatives to improve market reach and visibility.
- Work closely with the Strategy, Solutions, and Data teams to leverage insights for better decision-making and align strategies to market opportunities and challenges.
- Serve as a vital link between the Commercial and Sales teams by facilitating the exchange of market trends, insights, and revenue opportunities.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to key internal and external stakeholders through:
- Active collaboration on GTM initiatives.
- Timely and responsive support for sales and operational needs.
- Management of sales pipelines and analysis of gaps.
- Development and execution of network and inventory optimisation strategies.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
- 7+ years of sales experience in the media industry
- Strong agency relationships and networks across the media market
- Proven high level sales ability including outstanding negotiation skills, persuasive ability, and excellent communication skills.
- Strong commercial acumen, including budgeting and data analysis.
- Specialist OOH product and industry knowledge coupled with the ability to deal with clients at all levels and translate client needs into a complete solution.
- Excellent written and verbal skills with high level of comfort presenting in various individual or group settings.
- High profile networking ability and confidence with key decision makers
