Senior Workday Integration Specialist
The Opportunity:
Do you have experience with Workday Integrations and are ready for a new challenge? We're seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic person to join our collaborative and passionate IT team on a fixed term basis while we complete the first phase of our Workday HCM system implementation.
As our Senior Workday Integration Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in gathering and documenting the business’s requirements to ensure delivery of robust and secure integrations with the Workday platform and associated applications. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure seamless data flow and system interoperability.
Reporting to the IT Platform Manager you'll be responsible for:
- Create and maintain integrations between Workday and other systems using Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, and Web Services.
- Work closely across departments to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Regularly monitor integration processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution.
- Perform regular audits and validate data integrity across systems.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive integration documentation, including data flow diagrams and technical specifications.
- Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to end-users and stakeholders.
- Identify and communicate potential risks, issues, decisions and dependencies as requirements are scoped, developed and implemented.
- Support the project team to deliver the required outcomes, building a trusted relationship with ability to influence.
About you:
You have in-depth experience with Workday with a strong focus on integrations with having designed, developed, and maintained integrations between Workday and other internal/ external systems.
You are an excellent communicator with strong relationship building skills, and the ability to develop and communicate functional and non-functional requirements using user stories and other supporting documentation. You are someone with an analytical mindset and a passion for problem-solving.
You will be flexible in your approach to work and adaptable to the different working styles of different parts of the business and be able to work collaboratively to achieve desired outcomes.
You will have:
- Strong experience and proficiency with the Workday platform and integration tools such as Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, Web Services to design and deliver integration requirements.
- Experience in documenting systems architecture and integrations.
- You will have proven experience in system design and implementing integrations in large enterprise organisations.
- Experience with Web Services and APIs, including WSDL, SOAP, REST, and WS standards, to enable data exchange with external systems.
- Experience in supporting and guiding different types of stakeholders and dealing with conflicting requirements and needs.
- Experience in delivery of large enterprise projects.
- Experience with HR systems and applications (e.g., payroll, talent acquisition/ recruitment) is highly desirable.
- Workday certifications (desirable).
