RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand the automation & digitalization needs and opportunities within Evonik in the Asia Pacific region
  • Identification & execution of projects with the focus on general instrumentation, automation & digitalization of Evonik`s production plants
  • Data collection and evaluation, prediction of mathematical models, selection and implementation of optimization concepts and development of meaningful visualizations
  • Development of process control strategies e.g. Advanced Process Control with multivariable controller`s incl. the development of the dynamic model for different production processes
  • Support development and deployment of globally aligned and harmonized digital solutions
  • Collaboration within a global network of digitalization experts and initiatives

REQUIREMENTS

  • Successfully completed studies (Bachelor/Master/PhD) in the field of process control, automation, data engineering or process technology
  • Deep knowledge about model based process control and optimization
  • Experience in data engineering and data visualization
  • Knowledge about OT infrastructure in production plants including the involved production related systems (e.g. DCS, PIMS, etc.)
  • Previous work experience in the petrochemical/pharmaceutical/specialty chemical industries (5-10 years)
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken (Chinese is a plus as need to work closely with Chinese technical colleagues and stakeholders)
  • Committed and loyal team member, which represents high self-motivation, flexibility and creativity
  • Interest in being part of a global working group
  • Willingness for international business travel
