The opportunity to join our team
The Senior Manager, Unadvised Member is responsible for leading and delivering strategic marketing initiatives that engage, support and retain unadvised members across IOOF Employer Super and MLC Expand, with a focus on building deeper relationships, improving member experiences and driving positive member and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans to drive engagement, retention and deeper relationships with unadvised members across IOOF Employer Super and MLC Expand
  • Develop and implement programs that enhance the 1:1 member engagement and retention strategy
  • Build a strong understanding of unadvised member needs, behaviours, triggers and pain points, and translate these insights into targeted journeys, communications and experiences
  • Accountable for delivering marketing programs that are centred around member needs
  • Identify opportunities to improve engagement, reduce member disengagement and support retention
  • Develop content, journeys and experiences that help unadvised members navigate important superannuation, retirement and financial wellbeing decisions
  • Partner with Product, Distribution, Service, Digital, Data, Risk, Legal and Compliance teams to ensure member programs are insight-led, operationally achievable and aligned to business priorities.
  • Execute cross-channel campaigns across owned and earned channels
  • Take a member-first approach with insight-driven programs designed to simplify experiences, build confidence and support long-term member value.
  • Accountable for driving continuous optimisation and efficiencies
  • Create and be responsible for a marketing scorecard
  • Conduct post-initiative implementation reviews and evaluate effectiveness, impact and opportunities
  • Build and maintain effective internal and external relationships with key stakeholders and partners
  • Responsible for budget, reporting and financial forecasting processes in accordance with company policies.
  • Manage marketing risk across campaign development and delivery

What you will bring:

  • Solid experience in financial services marketing, with a strong focus on B2C audiences
  • A solid understanding of superannuation, retirement, wealth and investment landscapes
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering customer/member engagement and retention strategies
  • Knowledge of direct customer campaign activity, including customer-contact strategy, lifecycle marketing, segmentation and journey design
  • Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial topics in a simple and accessible way.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship-building and influencing skills
  • Experienced in translating business strategy into marketing plans, including segmentation and targeting, value proposition development, planning, forecasting, campaign design and management
  • Ability to brief and guide creative professionals, digital teams, writers, designers, agencies and delivery partners
  • Data-driven and results-oriented, with a focus on measurement, optimisation and demonstrating value
  • Risk mindset — proactively identify, understand and act on current and future risks
  • Ability to think innovatively and deliver new initiatives, improvements and ways of working
  • Strong delivery focus and project management skills to ensure deadlines are met
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in an environment with competing and shifting priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement
  • Degree in Marketing, Business or a related field
